Registration of TAN Online
What is TAN
TAN stands for Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number. It is a unique 10 digit alphanumeric number allotted by the Income Tax Department (ITD) of India. TAN number to be obtained by all persons who are responsible for deducting or collecting the tax.
- An applicant will fill out Form 49B online and submit the form.
- If there are any errors, rectify them and re-submit the form.
- A confirmation screen with all the data filled by the applicant will be displayed.
- The applicant may either edit or confirm the same.
The fee for processing the TAN application is Rs.65.00 ( Rs.55.00 application charge + 18.00% Goods & Services Tax).
Persons authorized to make credit card/debit card / net banking payments for other categories are as below:

You have two options for applying:
- Apply for New TAN
- Apply for New TAN (for DSC users) (Recommended)
Select your deductor category and click the select button.
Fill out all details in the below form.

After filling in all details select authorized signatory (DSC) and select payment option & submit.
After successful submission, TAN will be issued next 7 days.
